What is Civil Engineering Materials Testing?

Civil engineering materials testing provides testing, consulting, and research services for geosynthetics and civil engineering materials (such as aggregates, asphalt concrete, ready-mixed concrete, steel products, and mesh types) used domestically and internationally. The program also operates a GAI-accredited laboratory and conducts reliability assessments for geosynthetics.

  • Geosynthetic Testing

    • Testing is performed on drainage materials (PBD, PHD), mats (PP, PET, composite fabrics), nonwoven fabrics, geogrids, and more.

  • Civil Engineering Materials Testing

    • Testing is provided for aggregates, asphalt concrete, ready-mixed concrete, steel products, and mesh types (vertical protection net, fall protection net, debris net, vertical fall net), among others.

  • Reliability Assessment

    • Reliability assessment is conducted for geogrids, strip-type fiber reinforcements, geosynthetic drainage materials, and geotextiles.
