Footwear
What is Footwear (Finished Product) Testing?
With the integration of advanced features such as flexibility, lightweight, breathability, comfort, and slip resistance, complete footwear products are subject to comprehensive performance evaluations.
Test Items
Durability Assessment
Test Item | Description |
---|---|
Pedatron Abrasion Test | Simulates actual walking to assess sole abrasion and durability. |
Repeated Flexing Test | Evaluates durability by repeatedly flexing the shoe at bending points (upper, sole, adhesive areas). |
Outsole Peel Strength | Measures the peel strength at toe/heel area for shoes with extended outsole edges. |
Repeated Compression Resistance | Assesses heel durability under repeated loading. |
Plantar Pressure Distribution | Uses gait simulation equipment to analyze pressure and distribution inside the shoe. |
Comfort Assessment
Test Item | Description |
---|---|
Bending Stiffness (Longitudinal/Rotational) | Measures the force or torque required to bend/twist the shoe to evaluate flexibility. |
Moisture Control Performance | Assesses absorption and breathability in relation to perspiration for overall comfort. |
Safety Assessment
Test Item | Description |
---|---|
Slip Resistance (Coefficient of Friction) | Quantifies the likelihood of slipping under various lubricants (water, oil) and shoe conditions (toe, heel), serving as a primary safety indicator. |
Compression Resistance | Evaluates protection of toes from compression and impact. |
Waterproofness Assessment
Test Item | Description |
---|---|
Repeated Flex Waterproofness | Assesses water ingress by repeatedly flexing the shoe’s bend zones underwater. |
Dynamic Waterproofness | Simulates walking in water to evaluate waterproofness of the finished shoe. |
Centrifugal Waterproofness | Measures water penetration by rotating the shoe in a tank at set speeds to apply centrifugal pressure. |
