ZDHC MRSL Level 1 Testing & Certification Service
Until now, textile and footwear manufacturers have needed to manage Restricted Substances List (RSL) which sets limits on chemical substance concentrations in the final product. However, the use of hazardous chemicals in the manufacturing process can have a negative effect on consumers, workers and the environment as well.
● ZDHC MRSL
To reduce or substitute hazardous chemicals in the supply chain, a group of major apparel, leather, footwear brands and retailers made a shared commitment with ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) and developed MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Substances List) which is a list of chemical substances banned from intentional use in facilities that process textile materials and trim parts in apparel, leather and footwear.

Chemical Suppliers need to test their raw materials and final chemicals in order to ensure that they comply with the ZDHC MRSL limits.
